If you want to overclock, which you should since you are paying extra for a k cpu, you should get a better HSF. A coolermaster 212 evo would be good. If you want to SLI you will need a better mobo. You could go for an Asrock Extreme 4 z77.

What are your requirements for the system? Will you be overclocking?

this is my first time building a computer in a very long time so im not even really sure what SLI is but when i posted specs to other forums, i was told to go for the K model. Im not sure how to over clock but i know its not too hard. Def a gaming rig

SLI is running two Nvidia graphics cards together. It's not necessary, but may increase the useful lifespan of your build. Overclocking and SLI aren't necessary so it's all up to you to figure out what you want to do and how much you want to spend.

alright well my main question is will that motherboard be alright and will it have all the necessary ports to run everything?

It will run 1 graphics card just fine. It doesn't have the best reviews, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock into Newegg reviews anyway. You could get an Asrock Pro4 z77 for about the same price. Might want to take a look at that.
