ti or just the 560? My old gtx 460 could do medium at 1920x1080. Even sli gtx 460 1GB could only get 35-40 fps on ultra at 1920x1080. I had to settle for high instead since below 40 the game seemed choppy. What resolution are you planning on playing? Even the 560 ti will not get higher framerates than sli gtx 460 1GB so the answer to your question is no unless you plan on playing with a low resolution.

I think you can expect a combination of med/high at 1920x1080 but mostly med. You can alway turn off AA if you want to increase other settings. AA is really nice but a game like BF3 is so fast and you are always running so you may not notice the smoothed out edges.

I got the GTX 560 non-ti with a q8400 Quad Core @ 3 Ghz and i dont play it on Ultra. My friend has the same GPU but the i5-2500k like you and he plays it on High.

You need 1.4mb of VRAM @ 1080p on ultra...so unless you have a 2gb gtx 560 card your gonna get choppy gaming at that res.

I have Gtx 470 SLi (you would think more than enough) but i cant play it on ultra coz they only have 1280mb of VRAM each....not enough....I avg about 70-80fps at a guess on ULTRA but the game stutters like hell when a lot is going on coz the VRAM just can't keep up!! I either have to turn off AA completely or turn off motion blur and turn down Ambient occlusion.

Like above....dont use AA ... and maybe turn motion blur off and you'll get much higher settings on the rest. OR use 720p...u'll likely get ULTRA @ that res on 1gb VRAM.

Play about till your happy....and btw High isn't much worse than Ultra tbh.

SLi is a con anyway (unless you use 2 cards with 2gb+ VRAM), i get the same experience with BF3 on one card as i do on 2.....one is suffice to play the game @ 1080p with the AA off .....adding a second didnt allow me to up my settings....jus got a higher avg FPS....same Min. FPS.

BTW other specs are:

i5 2500K @ 4.8GHz
8gb 1600MHz DDR3

So they're not holding me back just incase thats what you were thinking.
