I have D-Link DI-524 router behind my cable modem (comcast). Due to the layout of my home I would like to hardwire an extra router I have (PK5000Z DSL Modem) as a wireless access point in an upper floor. How do I get (if possible) the PK5000Z to play with my DI-524/cable set up?

first you will need a network cable to connect the dlink and the PK5000Z.

if you are able to log into the PZ and manage it, here is what you need to do:

connect only a computer to the PZ and log in

setup the wireless security

disable the DHCP and set the LAN IP to 192.168.0.253 since the Dlink should be 192.168.0.1

now reboot the PZ and connect the network cable coming from the Dlink to LAN port number One

If it is not working, you might have to set the Modem side of the PZ to Static
