So he seems to be intent on building pcs and selling them...the prices vs newegg seem to be good...

And then there is this guy who has a really cool looking 3 monitor setup...but seems to be overcharging, but of course I don't know how much is reasonable to offer him.

An i3 build with the HD 7850 would outperform that first build in games, it would probably be cheaper too. The reason being that no game is even going to touch those last 4 cores, just the first 4. Intel is better for gaming at any budget at the moment.

The first build is kinda weak for being gaming orientated. The second computer I would stay away from since the buyer doesn't list the full specs of the computer and it's not worth the $1800 he is asking for. You can do more with $1800 right now than that computer.
