Radeon 7870 on pci-e 2.0??

Hi so i have this motherboard

and i want to know if radeon 7870 is supported on this motherboard.

Oh and im going to be purchasing asus 7870

and can someone tell me if it is a good brand?

Yes this motherboard will support your 7870 normally, there will be no performance difference over a 3.0 slot, (at least for now this should change when Ivy Bridge is released).

yes that asus gpu is very good, and will work flawlessly, you can buy both they will work perferctly, good gaming xD.

Im about to ask the same question, Im thinking to build a new tower in Dec 12. And im interesting in Bulldozer (AMD CPU), however atm most mob that support AMD FX is only run on PCI express 2.0.
