Hi everyone. Im putting together a new gaming rig. Keywords in weighted ordering: Silent, Performance, stylish :p

Approximate Purchase Date: As soon as possible.

Budget: Almost any, but want good value for the money.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (swtor, D3)

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) faor Parts: newegg.com

Country: Denmark

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 2560 x 1440

Additional Comments:
As silent as possible without sacrificing too much performance.
The motherboard is the only thing written in stone - I want thunderbot (Got a apple display that needs it).
Things im least sure about: CPU fan and PSU

This is my own suggestion:

it is cheaper and just as good. you wont be needing thunderbolt just yet or 16gb or ram. another great gtx670 is the gigabyte and the asus

For 2560X1440 you need to crossfire a pair of 670's or 680's. They are more powerful and quieter than the 7970. If money wasn't critical, I'd go with the Core I7-3770K, give you plenty of room for performance over the next few years.

Also, if you want quiet, go for larger case fans. They come in 140mm, 200mm, even 240mm. The larger the fan is, the slower it spins, the quieter it is, and the cooler it is.

You don't have enough disk memory. If you want SSD only, you should at least buy two of those and RAID 0 them or get a 256GB one. Perhaps you simply forgot the HDD. For ultra performance, two 256GB in RAID0.

you dont need 2 670 to run a 1440p monitor. a single card can get you around 50fps in most games on ultra

RAID 0 doesnt have much impact on your day to day usage. it is only good when you do stuff such as a lot of video editing or graphical design.

you do not need a i7 for gaming. i5s are the same in games
