Hello,
I am building my first pc and im scared about if i am going too cheap on budget build. All i want to do is play games at 1080p on High settings, i dont plan to doing any video editing and i dont think im never going to go sli. It costs $880, i am trying to keep it under $900 but I will go over if its worth it.

This is my build:
i5 2500k
Seagate Barracuda 500 GB
Asus z77-M
Kingston HyperX 4 Gb 1600mhz (is 4gb dual channel enough?)
EVGA GTX 560
Silverstone 500W ST50F-ES (is this really enough?)

Get this motherboard instead since you are not going to be using ivy bridge and you are on a budget, this motherboard is really good, I have it and it works great. Tons of features - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271

I think you should just go ahead and upgrade to 8GB's of RAM since it is only 20 bucks more and you will see a big performance increase.

I would get at least a 560Ti or 6950 for gaming on high settings, I currently have the i5 2500k and a XFX 6950 2GB and it plays Battlefield 3 on high settings at around 60 FPS average and also pretty much any other game on ultra.

If you do those upgrades you are going to want to get a better power supply and antec really know what they are going with power supplys- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044

after all of those upgrades you will not go very much over your budget but you will see a giant performance increase on your system. If you have any more questions please ask.

Thanks for the quick rely,

So I changed the ram to Corsair vengance 8gb 1600mhz
and the graphics card to the 560ti hawk and the powersupply to the antec one but does the asrock z68 really matter because I live in australia and I cant order off newegg, I have to order of a site called pccasegear.com and they only sell z77 boards. Also isnt 650watts too much?

you can buy from amazon even though the motherboard is 20 dollars more and I have looked at the other z68's on that website and they have terrible reviews so I would just order from amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Z68-EXTREME3-CrossFireX-Motherboard/dp/B005GK6AQC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1339731569&sr=8-2

also the 650w power supply is just what you need. you always want to be 100W over your minimum power supply wattage.

here is a very useful tool to use to calculate how much power you will need, just add 100W to be safe and you have the wattage you need.

also look into the locked cpu chip for prices and the h71 mb. most time chips like the ib 3540 is cheaper by 20-30 dollars then the unlocked chip. the downside is you cant over clock the chip. as the other poster had said about the slightly larger power supply..why you buy a larger power supply is as the power supply ages the caps dry out and the max output of a power supply will drop. depending on the caps and the design of the power supply and how close to the max output of the 12v rail you are you could over time have random lock up or reboot or bsod from unstable power. with power supply too you dont want to load them near there max voltage..80 percent or less is a safe bet that the ps will have a long and happy life. if a power supply is near it max then it also going to be making a lot of heat...lots of heat..have the ps fan maxed out. have a loud fan noise. most new ps fans on the good power supply are like gpu fans..they will only speed up or spin up if needed...slower fans...quieter case. also depending on your case toss in an after market cpu heat sink..like the 212 or 212 evo. the intel stock coolers or ones with plastic legs are a piti to install and get the legs to lock in.
