Hey guys,

Recently purchased a sapphire radeon 6870 hd. During the install I uninstalled the VGA radeon 4250 hd driver. After booting up my computer was only detecting the 6870. I was wondering if there was a way to use them in tandem or if only pcie cards can be used together.

What you're looking for is called AMD Hybrid Crossfire. But it will not work with a 6870.

The Hybrid technology was supposed to crossfire a weak card with the integrated GPU to form essentially a better card. But newer and more powerful cards cannot do it.

90% sure you can't use Onboards in Crossfire/SLI, but if you bought an APU and a GPU From the same series as the integrated graphics on that, you should be able to, in your case I don't think it's an option even if Crossfire were possible, they're not anywhere near eachother in respects of series/models.
