I just moved cities and have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router and use Cox internet. I can get internet access on my laptop and/or desktop through Cox's modem, but when I connect the modem to router, I can connect to the "network" but cannot get internet access. Connecting using a CAT5 cable or wirelessly, it does not matter, no internet access. Advise please.

is the WAN setting of the router set to AUTO (DHCP)?

did you reboot the modem after connecting the router?

Yeah I got it figured out, I just reset the router to the factory settings and started over with heightened security. Thanks.
