Notebook processor for virtualization

Hello,

I'm considering which processor is the best for virtualization (Virtualbox, VmWare player).

Intel i5-3317U has VT-x, VT-d and EPT, however only two physical cores.

OR

AMD A8-4500M, on new Piledriver architecture with 4 physical cores.

I have two questions:

1. Is Core i5 better even with two "faked" cores ?
2. Does AMD processor contain technologies similar to VT-x, VT-d and EPT ?

Thanks.
