I m running p95 small ffts and the temps go to around 85c in arount 3 minutes the ambient temperature is around 33 in my case
currently all the things are at stock.
plannin to buy cm212evo
what would be the temps likely after that

With a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, you should be seeing load temperatures of around 50-55C on Prime95. (I get those temperatures on my i7 2700k without Hyperthreading). With a mild overclock of around 4.6Ghz (with 1.3v give or take), I can expect temperatures of around 65-70C.

Of course, every CPU is different, so you may see temperatures a little higher, or a little lower than what I'm mentioning.

I have seen many people postin in their temps and stock idle around 34 35 and
load of around 68
but in my case just startin the prime 95 is making temps go way up
to 85 for just 3 min
what can i do to bring temps down until i buy a new cooler

I dunno what your ambient temps are and how u r able to maintain such temps
i live in non ac room and temps get way too shaky over time
room temps range around 23 to 30
but the case temps seem to be above 30 for some weird reason
current config is

msi z68a g45
i5 2500k @stock

cooler master elite 310 mid case
two 120 mm cm fans on top on on the front for hdd and 2 80 mm side fans

In the summer (I don't use AC either, by the way), my idles are around 35-43C while my Prime95 loads range from 60-68C. In the winter/fall (20C ambient), my idles are around 30-35C with Prime95 loads at around 60-64C.

I'm guessing your case ambients are a bit warmer due to all the components inside. However, my previous question remains the same. What are your idle temperatures on your 2500k? I'm using an aftermarket cooler which is why my temperatures are so low.

Since your ambient temperature is so hot, I would deem those temperatures to be perfectly acceptable. What is the highest temperature you see while you're doing day-to-day tasks? Prime95 SmallFFT's puts an EXTREMELY unrealistic load on your CPU which is why you see temperatures sky-rocket to 85C (normal).

mostly my temps range from 40 to 55 and
68 max (when playing bf3 all high settings)

Those seem perfectly fine. They're a little on the warm side, but they're fine :)

If you're still concerned about your temperatures, I would recommend picking up a Hyper 212 EVO for a little piece-of-mind.

ooh i dont think i can get to 5ghz with my ambient temps
but i would like to overclock to maybe a 4.3 to 4.5
and i think it would be possible with hyper 212 evo
