I'm trying my first PC build. It's my first time building one and I just want you guys to tell me if all these components are compatible with each other. I'm tight on a budget so this is the best I can do. I just want to know if the system components would all be compatible and work together. If not, please state which one will not work. THANKS! I appreciate it!

CPU: Intel i5-2500k (Sandy Bridge) (Gunna Overclock)

MoBo: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3

RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3 - 1600 8GB (2x4GB) Model: F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W (Modular/ SB i3/i5/i7 COMPATIBLE)

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 (Gunna Overclock)

1. HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB SATA 32MB Cache : HD103SJ
2. HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA III 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Can you also please tell me which HDD is better? THANKS!

CASE: Cooler Master Elite 430

Aftermarket fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212+

Optical Drive: ASUS 24XDVD-RW BURNER

Please tell me if this is a good build.

1: get a i5 3570k as they are faster
2: get a asrock z77 extreme4 motherboard if you plan to run 2 nividia cards in the future or the asrock z77 pro4 if you plan to use only amd cards
3:there are way better power supplies out there. check out the xfx 650w
4:p ersonally i would blow a bit more money on getting a 7850 but the card you have should be able to play most games on hgih
5: the caviar black is faster
6: depending on your budget , you can always throw in a crucial m4 128gb ssd as a boot drive
7: for the case i would have gotten something simple like a antec 302
8: the evo is slightly better than the plus but it is about the same

sounds good now

thanks so much for the rundown. so i guess all the components are compatible. u gave me a lot of good tips. altho i don't have a BIG budget so i'm going to keep the graphics card and probably not going to change the mobo because i dont really plan on upgrading even in the future. i'm just using it right now to play some games with my friends like sc2, bf3, and upcoming guild wars 2. i only like the elite 430 case because its cheap and i like the style of it. and ill stick with an HDD because i really dont mind the load time. im not that kind of person that will throw 80-130 bucks just for like 10-30 secs faster loading time. but u helped me a lot.

also im sticking with the i5-2500k because i will be overclocking it and its cheaper since i will be buying it from microcenter @ $170. thanks in advance tho. best answer by far. i'm glad someone was nice enuf to help.

the i5 3570k is a bit faster. say for example, if you overclock the i5 3570k to 4.5ghz, it is the same thing as a 2500k at 4.8ghz just to let you know. also, i heard that you can pick up a i5 3570k for 189.99 instore and get a combo deal with the extreme4
