XX to USB Hub?

Hello, first time poster. My girlfriend has destroyed her USB port on the laptop she uses (Never leave things plugged in when you put it into a laptop case!) and now I'm trying to help her. I'm looking for a cable/hub for USB, that connects to something other than another USB. I'm fairly sure (It's not right in front of me) that she has VGA and HDMI ports that are unused, but have had no luck in my online search for a VGA to USB (Female or Hub). Any help would be appreciated.

What you're looking for, unfortunately, doesn't exist (at least from my knowledge). I'm aware of being able to input/output internet connections out of HDMI but I'm not aware of any type of adapter to let you pass USB out of it. VGA would also not be possible as this is a type of video-output.

Okay, so are there ANY other options than using a USB port? I really don't want to buy her a new laptop just because she can't use her mouse.

Unfortunatley, no, there aren't any options other than a USB port

If your girlfriend's laptop supports Bluetooth, there are plenty of options on Amazon, however, so there is a bit of hope left, per se :lol:
