Planning on building a new PC when I get back into the country at the end of the month. Just wanted to have people check over my build looking for compatibility issues or something that gets equal performance for less cost.

Going to be used primarily as a gaming rig, mostly for EVE. I'd like to keep it as close to or under $1000 as possible. Thanks in advance. (more questions at bottom)

My biggest question is about the RAM. I haven't built a PC since DDR3 was just getting started and there seem to be a ton of options. Is this a decent choice?
As for the CPU cooler, I don't plan on overclocking, but I wan't something quieter than the stock fan. Is there a better/cheaper option for that?

That ram should be fine, but more ram is always good for MMOs (and for any modern game really, as it doesn't cut into Windows ram usage). See if you can get 8gb.

I remember reading something quite a long time ago that tested the performance gains of adding RAM and found that after 4GB, except for video editing etc, adding more RAM was essentially worthless. But I'll look in to that.

Any other comments/suggestions?
