Question About Anti Static Strap

Before most of you guys go on telling me an anti static strap is useless, I am a noobie and just want my parts to be safe. This being my first PC build, I will probably forget to touch my case every time, so I'd just spend the $5 to get the strap.

My question is where I actually put it.

My 300R case is all painted black, as well as my SeaSonic M12II 620W PSU. Where do I put it if the components are painted?

Same place, painted or not. When you open the side panel, the sides.

Any metal part of the case, painted or not. Usually like the 5.25" bay cage or the rail at the bottom.
It's good to have an antistatic strap. Better than nothing.
