Hello

Just curious, I just installed a wireless lan card and was wandering if using both the ground lan and wireless

together

increases the speed of internet connection if they are connected to different routers (different modems too)

Just to be clear, Windows cannot automatically use more than one network connection at a time, but you CAN set up manual routes to resources.

For example, I once worked in an office that did not have LAN access to the Internet, the LAN was just for file and printer sharing. I connected to the Internet by 56K modem, and I installed manual routes so that I still had access to my shared files and printer even when on the Internet.

Yes, and no.

Assuming you have wired and wireless connections, and the wireless has the higher metric (it is the default route when connected), you could add routing rules to the wired connection so that certain sites (IP addresses or ranges) always used it and not the wireless.
