Approximate Purchase Date: July/August at the latest.

Budget Range: $1500-$2000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (A LOT OF IT) and basic web browsing (Youtube, Forums, etc)

Parts Not Required: Keyboard and mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: All NewEgg, but if NewEgg doesn't have a certain product, then amazon

Country: USA

Parts Preferences: N/A

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Depends if I need two GPU's.

Monitor Resolution: Best possible resolution.

Additional Comments: I have a few comments. First of all, I was wondering if it could be liquid cooled. Second of all, could I run dual monitors? I want to use one monitor for my Xbox 360 mostly but sometimes I may want to use it for my PC and have dual monitors (One playing a game and one browsing the internet). Would this be possible? Also, if I buy all the basic parts needed, would I still need to buy network cards, CPU coolers, and all that? Do I buy them separately? I don't know what those are for if they aren't even needed (I'm very new at this). Next, I need a good enough PC to run every type of games, including BF3, WoW, LoL, SC II, Crysis 2, Fable 3, and many more at the highest possible resolution.

Asus Z77 Pro or you might might consider the Sabertooth for the 5 year warranty for $20 more. If it's just "gaming", the i5-3570 should suffice; if ya adding CAD, video editing and other apps that require HT, grab the i7-3770. In either case, you'll want the k version.

First off why did you say $1K build when you want $1500?

I was wondering if it could be liquid cooled.

Don't get a cheap closed block like an H100 - you can always add liquid cooling later. To me it's too much risk for not a lot of payoff. You're better off going with a strong air fan like a D14. With the liquid cooler - either you do the real thing or not at all. Even a closed radiator like the H100 isn't exactly the safest, get a real radiator like this: http://www.swiftech.com/h2o-220-edge.aspx

Second of all, could I run dual monitors? I want to use one monitor for my Xbox 360 mostly but sometimes I may want to use it for my PC and have dual monitors (One playing a game and one browsing the internet). Would this be possible?

Yes - all modern GPUs have dual display functionality - the current Radeons and NVIDIA 6XX series allow for up to three displays per card.

Also, if I buy all the basic parts needed, would I still need to buy network cards, CPU coolers, and all that? Do I buy them separately? I don't know what those are for if they aren't even needed (I'm very new at this).

You won't need to buy a network card or a sound card - all you need is built into the motherboard. Unless you're running Wifi but then you'll need to buy an adapter for that. You will need to buy a CPU cooler if you're not running the stock fan.

Lastly, I need a good enough PC to run every type of games, including BF3, WoW, LoL, SC II, Crysis 2, Fable 3, and many more at the highest possible resolution.

Here you go:

Case: NZXT Switch 810 - $169.99
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKII 750W - $109.99
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H - $144.99
CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i5-3570K - $249.99
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 - $87.99
RAM: 8GB Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 1600MHz 1.5V - $56.99
SSD: 128GB OCZ Vertex 4 - $129.99
HD: 2TB Samsung Ecogreen F4 - $129.99
Optical: Lite On Bulk DVD Burner - $17.99
Video Card: EVGA Geforce GTX 670 - $399.99

Total: $1497.89

Run off the D14 until you decide you want to take the plunge into liquid cooling. The Switch 810 will accommodate any radiator you want to throw at your system, and it will run everything on max for several years.

That looks great and might be my final PC, but is it the best PC out of the ones listed above? I'm new to this sort of stuff and don't know what's better or worse.

mine and why_me's builds are about the same other than the case, cooler and the SSD. my ssd will be slightly more reliable while the sandisk will be a bit faster not that you will notice from day to day use. the TPC 812 wont be very advantageous unless you plan to do a lot of overclocking

For a hard drive, the Barracuda XT series offers the best performance available from a 7200 RPM mechanical storage device.

Sound Card - Redundant, already on MoBo

GFX - Here's the numbers:

Guru3D uses the following games in their test suite: Hard Reset, COD-MW2, Far Cry 2, ANNO 1404, Metro 2033, ANNO 2070, BFBC2, BF3, Crysis 2, AvP, Lost Planet 2. Total fps (summing fps in each game @ 1920 x 1200) for the various options in parenthesis (single card / SL or CF) are tabulated below along with their cost in dollars per frame single card - CF or SLI:

Card - Cost ( Single / ERR ) ERR - ERR
GTX 680 - ERR ( 989 / 1578 ) ERR - ERR
680 DCII Cu TOP - ERR ( 1077 / NA ) ERR - ERR
GTX 670 - ERR ( 917 / 1539 ) ERR - ERR
670 DCII Cu TOP - ERR ( 999 / 1679 ) ERR - ERR
7970 - ERR ( 872 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7970 DCII Cu - ERR ( 924 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7950 - ERR ( 746 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7870 - ERR ( 701 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7850 - ERR ( 596 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7770 - ERR ( 375 / NA ) ERR - ERR
7750 - ERR ( 291 / NA ) ERR - ERR

In the table above for example, the Asus 670 Cu DCII TOP costs $430 each and gets 999 fps in single card configuration at a cost of $0.43 per frame and 1679 in SLI at a cost of $0.51 per frame. The AMD cards w/ NA did not complete all games in the test suite. This should be resolved in an upcoming driver fix. The nVidia card w/ NA was not tested in SLI.

Looking at the above, ya have to like the 670 ..... looking at the various offerings, ya have to love the Asus 670 DCII TOP

EVGA SC Boost Clock is 1046 outta the box....stable at 1200 Mhz
EVGA SC gets 3DMark Score of 8691 outta the box and 9443 OC'd
Idle temp is 29C / load temp is 78C
Noise is 37 dBA Idle / 43 dBA under load

http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-geforce-gtx-670-directcu-ii-top-review/23
Asus TOP Boost Clock is 1137 outta the box .... stable at 1280 Mhz
Asus gets 3DMark Score of 9340 outta the box and 9839 OC'd
Idle temp is 30C / load temp is 72C
Noise is 37 dBA Idle / 38 dBA under load

That makes the Asus 7% faster outta the box than the EVGA SC, 6C cooler and almost 1/4 as loud under load (every 3 dBA is a doubling of sound level).

Cooler - This depends on how high ya wanna go and what ya wanna spend.

$30 - Hyper 212 .....I wouldn't use on an overclocked IB CPU tho

$50 - Hyper 612 PWM or Scythe Mugen 3 for $4.2 - 4.4 Ghz

Solution

The Sandisk uses a toggle nand controller so it's solid as a rock. I threw in dual monitors because the OP said something about using two monitors.
