Man, my timing on my computer build is not good. All I need is a video card to finish the parts list, and of course I hit this nonsense. Anyone have any idea how long this unavailability foolishness is going to continue? How about ideas for a decent video card that I can live with until this BS is over with?

Wait, do u think it will be in stock in June?

I would certainly expect stock issues to be solved by June. If not, then this will go down as one of the more epic fail GPU launches in a long time.

imho ...if 680 will not be restocked in may .. nvidia will lost much clients ;/ radeon 7970 sold a lot before 680 comes out ... now because of high prices of 680 they will sell even more ...... i don't think that there will be a lot poeple who will buy gtx 680 for 650$ ;/ the will go for 7970 for 460$ i think ;/

I'm in the same boat !!! Just waiting for new nvidia cards to get into market fully to get the 570 because i know it will go down in price ..But since diablo if fast approaching i may go for the 7850 ..maybe ..the 448 560ti sounds like a deal but ..at that price i rather go for the 7850 ...but there are rumors that the 78's don't work well with blizzard...only nvidia but I'm also waiting for GW2..

680 at 1920x1080 is 10% faster then 7970 overall .. in some gmaes even lose ....on 2500x1600 its tooo close to 7970 :)  imho if they where at same price like 500$ there will be eazyer to pick 680 .... but now 7970 is better choice .... and there is 1 more thing .. 1 gb extra vram may help in the future for CF :)  multimonitors and extreme AA is harder for 680 because of 2gb vram :)

i had myself only radeon 6950 .. no problems with it :)

my vote goes for 7970 to ... only 480$ and soc to 1000..... on same price there will be another story but if you wnat to get card now .. go for 7970 for sure

So which one do u think I should get If I'll wait a month or two for the 680 to restock ?

if you will wait 1 or 2 months .. maybe 680 will be better choice .. but get 4gb version :)  and it depends on prices to .... if after 2 months there will be same difference like 100-150$ ... then it will be same situation :)

Most likely it will take a few months or so, for NVIDIA to re-stock the 680s. But if you want them now, you're going to have to throw in an extra $100 for it, which I don't recommend.

Best bet? Wait.

You could go to the nVidia web site and find out when the next batch of 680s are due for release and go to one one the manufacturers and pre order it or your local retail store.

Some will take money from you and when in they will let you know. newegg will just let you know when in no money down. I would go with EVGA or XFX.
