Keyboard not working

Hi,

I bought a Compaq Presaro cq57 laptop for my daughter and sometimes the keyboard stops responding. When the machine is re-booted it works fine again. It doesn't do it often but still anoying. It is running windows 7 Home Premium Any ideas?

Could be lots of things, but probably a program hanging, need to check the event log for any application errors at the time the keyboard stops working.

Thanks, that makes sense, so if it is a program hanging what is the answer? It is always when she is on the internet (google chrome) could it be a conflict and would installing a different browser fix it?

Remember to update the latest drivers for your laptop. Try using a different browser and/or reinstall Chrome.

Thanks very much I will try different browser. The drivers should be fine, at least I hope so because the machine was new at Christmas and has done it a few times from new. We thought it was World of Warcraft after searching on forums and finding similar problems on there but it has done it when just browsing the net without WOW being on at all.
