Ringtones I dump onto my 6600 in midi format dont play when someone calls
me. Standard nokia tune starts playing instead... is there a file size
restriction on these or amount of channels used or something? Plays other
standard nokia on board midi files perfectly...

Ideas?

open the midi file on your phone with recorder or from the gallery, then
choose save, that saved file will then play ok

i had same prob

Also make sure it is saved on the phone memory under "digital sounds"
