Parts Preferences: Not set it stone, but i like corsair, asus, and gigabyte

SLI or Crossfire: No

Here's a build suggestion. Have a look:

CPU & Optical Drive: $226- i5-2500K & Samsung

Motherboard & HDD: $150- Biostar TZ77B & Samsung Spinpoint 1TB

PSU & RAM: $95- Corair CX500 & Corsair Vengeance 8GB(500 Watt PSU is more than enough unless you plan to add another GPU. Also PSU has promo offer)

GPU: $240- Sapphire Radeon 7850 (Great card performs similar to GTX 570)

Case: $40- NZXT Source 210 (or whatever you like)

CPU Cooler : $30- CM Hyper 212(Optional, but needed in case you decide to overclock in future)

Total (Excluding Rebates,Promos): 781 USD

Rebates, Promos: ~$25

If you can go to microcenter get this CPU & Motherboard. Get HDD & ODD from the above combo from newegg:
$190- i5-3570K
$90- Asrock Z77 Extreme4

You will still remain under your budget of $800.
You can get an i5-3550 or i5-2400 which cannot be overclocked for cheaper.

I like it, Not a huge fan of biostar tho. But there is a micro center close enough to drive to, So i think i may go with the other suggestion, one thing about the HDD and ODD I didnt see the combo u were talking about, did you just mean to buy them both from newegg or was there a combo for both of them that i missed?

there were two diff combos from newegg one off CPU/Optical Drive & other of Motherboard/HDD. If you brought CPU & Motherboard from Microcenter. those combos will no be possible,so you would have to get Optical Drive & HDD separately from newegg(without combo). That's what I meant.
