It seems I need to wipe my current drive clean, but I'm running Windows 2000 Professional and I can't seem to find out how to do it. Can anyone tell me how this is done so I can perform a clean install in preparation for a new MB/CPU combo?

You can probably use the win2k setup program. I believe it gives you the option to delete partitions as well as create them. If not, get your hands on a win98 startup floppy, it contains the fdisk program...

Sometimes, Nes98 can't delete the NTFS partition with fdisk. I almost always end up booting the win2k cd, and using the partitioning program within the setup. It's a bit more 'non-Ms-dos' intuitive.

So anyway, drop in your win2k disk, keep going through the installation procedure until it actually asks you "where" you want to install win2k. Then you can hit 'D' for delete partition.
