What Pcie version?

Unless you are putting it in the wrong slot, the 8800GT should be compatible (PCI-e wise) with that motherboard without problem.

The motherboard only has the one slot so you don't have a choice as to where to put it. Did you make sure that the card was seated all the way into the slot? You made sure to connect the power cable to the card?

Did you check the BIOS and make sure its using the PCIE and not the On-Board GPU?

ps, can you try another graphics card? There are a LOT of people on NEW EGG complaining of faulty PCI-E slots... http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

tried disabling the On-Board GPU, still doesn't work. since 8800gt consume big watts, tried using diff PSU still doesnt work, tried different DDR3 ram. still doesnt work.
but how come it works on an G41 mobo -______-

oh and it cant be a faulty PCIe coz a 220GT runs on it.
