Please rate my new gaming rig and a few questions.

Ok well I have been working on my gaming rig for quite a while now and I officially now have everything for it except for one thing. That one thing being the GPU, I would rather wait a little bit before getting my GPU so I can save money for a good one. I have heard that with my current CPU and Motherboard it is possible to run my computer w/o a GPU for the time being. Well here is my current build:

CPU- Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K [...] 6819115072

Case- Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case [...] 6811133094

Monitor- HP 2711x Black 27" Full HD LED BackLight LCD Monitor Slim Design 250 cd/m2 DC 3,000,000:1 (1,000:1) [...] &Tpk=2711x

Speakers- Logitech Z323 30 Watts (RMS) 2.1 Speaker System [...] 6836121033
I think I want different speakers something a lil bit more powerful and a better design these ones are horrendous and bulky.

Motherboard- ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS [...] 6813131790

CPU COOLER- COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+ [...] 6835103099

SSD- OCZ VTX3-25SAT3-120G Vertex 3 Solid State Drive - 120GB, 2.5", SATA III

HDD- Western Digital WD10EZRX Caviar Green 1TB Internal Hard Drive - SATA 6GBps, 64MB, OEM

Power Supply- Ultra X4 750-Watt Modular Power Supply - 135mm Fan, ATX, 80+ Bronze, Active PFC, NVIDIA SLI & ATI Crossfire Certifications, Vibration Dampener Included, Lifetime Warranty with Registration

So will I be able to run this rig w/o a GPU for the time being?

More about please rate gaming questions
  1. i5-3570k and a Z77 instead.

You will be able to use the integrated graphics if you don't have the graphics card.

Suggest Caviar blue or black for the hard drive.

    Do you have Windows?

You have no RAM listed. Get this:

Suggest the Crucial M4 over a OCZ SSD.

Do you need an optical drive?
