this is my first build ever so i wanted to make sure if these parts are compatible and i also wanted to know if this is a good gaming build

Thats all compatible, you wont have a problem with putting it all together. Make sure that the RAM is rated at 1.5v, as anything higher may invalidate the warranty on the CPU for some reason.

Its a decent gaming rig yes, thatl play games on med-high settings for a while.
To save some cash, get the standard GPU and overclock it yourself, save $20 which can go toward a CPU cooler (as always, I recommend the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO).
