Mouse problem

I'm not sure where to post this, so i apologize if it is in the wrong category. Every few minutes my mouse will stop working for a few seconds and then i hear a windows (error?) noise. My mouse will then resume working perfectly fine. It seems to happen 100 times more often while i am playing Skyrim. Is this just a weird bug for that game? Any ideas are appreciated, ask me if any other information is needed. thanks.

go to your control panel/admin tools/event viewer and look for errors at the time of your last mouse crash. it will give you a start point... if you get nowhere then post back with the errors you found...
ps just post the errors b4 and after (if any) the mouse failed not every 1(an idiot posted his whole event log for me on another site)

I'm not the most techy person in the world; how do i look for stuff in the event viewer?

Alright i think i figured it out but i dont see anything that corresponds to the times when my mouse stops working.

well there must be some other issue. use the controlpanel again and run the compatibility wizard.
