Hey guys this is gonna be my first post here so please bare with me... this is my first build too.

i wanna make a PC build of over 500 to 700 max but preferably under 600 or 650

so here is the main thing i would like to run BF3,mw3,diablo 3 and (dont hate) minecraft at high settings with atleast 40fps

average if possible.

i am going with a A8 3870k Llano with XFX HD-687A-ZHFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

is that compatible?

so here is the whole build i also i need an os recomendations are gladly welcome

OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986

that is the whole build I also have an old ATI catalyst video card from 06' its pretty old but could i put that in the build to

maybe increase performance and if it actually will, but need a better psu that would be ok.

I could also salvage some ddr2 rams and DVD drives from my old pc but i dont think that would do

also please give me some advice on crossfire with the A8 thank you very much reply ASAP please <3 no homo

Solution
Crossfire X is a limited way of teaming to low end graphics cards . The second graphics slot does not run at full speed and will cut performance of the set up of two 6870's .

It seems to me that you are buying a processor you do not need . The on board graphics are the reason Llano costs a little more and you are not going to use them
For a gaming build that can run proper crossfire I would use these

FX 4100 $110
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103996&Tpk=fx%204100

ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ AMD 970 $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157262

You also need to reconsider your case and psu . The raidmax with built in psu is too cheap and the psu is going to be an older inefficient...

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 $25 after rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&cm_sp=Cat_Power_Supplies-_-Spotlight-_-17-139-026
would be the minimum to run a computer like this and expect it to be reliable and efficient

Antec Gaming Series One $50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129181

That adds a little to your budget but the extra cost is definitely worth it

EDIT : DDR2 wont fit , older DVD drives are worth reusing if they use SATA connectors . If they use flat 40 wire IDE connectors they are incompatible

Thank you soo much for yor recomendations.... but i think i messed up and didnt ask you again because i already bought a new build i followed your guide but i think i bottlenecked on a MOBO

ok so please tell me if this is any good.. problem is i already ordered it so if it wont really work tell me....

CPU is the one u recommended

MOBO : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157305

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156247 i was gonna go for the one you said but i just

really like the design of this one....

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231307

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&cm_sp=Cat_Power_Supplies-_-Spotlight-_-17-139-026

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161402

that is the whole build... it looks like i bottlenecked on the psu and the MOBO am i right!? :( :( :(

if so would still work??? if it would i understand that it wont run on its maximum performance..... but if i wanted it to what

should i do?

also would this build be able to run through HDMI on my 1080p 26 inch vizio tv??

Thank you so much this means alot to me also take note.. 1st build :D :D i may have some questions setting it up :D

It all works .
The graphics card performance is very similar to the 6850 in DX 11 games , and a bit less in older DX 9 games . At that price its a good buy IMO
It also uses less power so it takes some pressure off the power supply and will run cooler , and it has the HDMI port you want .

Cases are personal choice . The Cooler Master HAF 912 is a very similar look to the Raidmax so is worth checking out too

The part I dont like in your build is the motherboard . It uses a much older 770 chipset and Asrock have probably written a BIOS to allow it to recognize and run the FX processor . But it will lack the features of the 970 chipset .
This one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157319
costs a few dollars more but will probably extend the life of your computer by making future upgrades possible and worthwhile

i knew it.. damn.. i was gonna go with that but i thought they would probably be the same... well i dont really need the features of the 970 chipset if so what is it anyway since i really have no clue..

For the case the haf was really nice.. but i really like the altas.. good thing there is no problems with that xD

so is the 6850 is better than the 7770? well the 7770 is a newer GPU right? so i think im good..

If i ever wanted to maybe get another GPU run like two at once what do i need to do..

would you suggest me to OC any of the components that i have? is it possible and if it is what do i need to do??

since that i can use my tv can i also maybe run dual screen? im pretty sure my system is maybe average or below for that
but i can always turn off one of the screens for gaming... please send me a link of the best tutorials for assembling my build thank youuuu sooooooooo much :D :D :D :sol:

one more thing :) :) can this build run BF3 at maybe high settings at 40-60 fps?

im sorry for all these questions but i am soooo thankful for your help. *brofist*
