Looking for a upgrade (old system)

I got a old system thats ruining vista with 3.5 gb ram it has a amd phenom 9500 quad 2.20 ghz.
the psu is under 400 watts i think it was a prebuilt. mid tower case no idea what the board is.

what iam looking for is an upgrade for the video card maybe 4850 - 6850 range also may upgrade the psu to 500watt.

The 6850 is a good upgrade, but yeah, you will need to upgrade the PSU. Make sure you have a free PCIe x16 slot (usually the highest one, long and has a clip at the end) and that the slot below it is free.
