Graphics Card airflow problem?

I am planning to buy a new video card, and looking at how my power supply is bottom mounted, will it drop the cooling ability drastically?
I was planning to get THIS
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=58226&vpn=GV-R687OC-1GD&manufacture=Gigabyte&promoid=1230
It has a 3 fan cooling ability, but will 2 of the fans be blocked by the PS?
If so, would it be better to get a single fan model (like the xfx or whatnot)?
Now my case has 1 bottom fan place (and 1 for the PS fan) and 2 on the side, so is there a placement to optimize the airflow / cooling?

Thanks a ton :) :) :)

I am not exactly sure what the question is. By looking at your photos, there appears to be enough space between the PSU and GPU to avoid any major issues. I am not familiar with that exact card, but I bet if one of the fans began to lack with it's airflow then another fan would speed up to compensate.

Since you are only using 1 video card, a 6870, I don't think this will be an issue at all. The cards do run hot, but they are designed to run hot.

Also, why couldn't you just put the video card on that top PCI-express slot that you kept the plastic card in? Is the bottom slot the primary one? Airflow issues go away if you go with the top slot.

I know about the PSU being better for airflow but I want to change the card.
The thing is though, I was planning to move the 285 to a different system than this one (older ddr2 / LGA 775 setup)
Also note that this was a hand me down from someone else and was used for about 2-3 years before reaching me. So not brand new.
Anyways, do you have a suggestion for an upgrade?
(note: my setup is under my profile)

thanks for the reply!
The motherboard I'm using is the asus m4a89gtd pro usb3, which has that plastic card you saw, and it allows 1 port to run at X16 speed, but without it, both run at X8 speed (generally for crossfire / SLI as you might know). It specifically tells you to put it in the first port, but i could try and switch it around and see if it still works.
