Should i get a Graphics Card?

Ive been running some higher end games recently and im having fps issues even with lower quality settings, ive started looking into graphics cards to replace my old ATI Radeon HD 4250 256mb, DDR3 which came with my computer.

QUESTION: What I want to know is if i can get a better graphics card for under or around $50 and if it will actually make a difference when running games like League of Legend, MW3, Etc.

Computer Specs:
Ram = 4GB DDR3
Graphic Card Support = PCIe
Monitor resolution = 1920x1080
Os = Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
CPU = AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 635 Processor
Cpu Speed = 2.9 GHz
PSU = 300W

Please dont just say get a new computer, all i want to know is if the graphics card will help run games without lag.

You're in a tough situation. You'll be very limited as to which video card you can add in since you only have a 300 watt psu. Even if you upgrade your PSU, your processor may be a bottleneck for a higher end graphics card.

The 4200s are great cards for internet and ms office and stuff, but they are not intended for games. The HD6570 is around $60. It would work with your PC and PSU and it would more than double your frame rates. I would get something like this,

If he has PCI-e connectors, grab a 7750.
