PC upgrade help

Hey Guys,

Im looking to upgrade my system.

I currently have 1.8 Ghz core 2 duo lga 775 and a radeon 5450

im looking to upgrade to a core 2 quad but do not know wheter to buy a new mobo nd cpu or keep the old one and aslo a gpu ive been looking at the gtx 460 gtx 550ti gts 450 im on a budget 500-600 saying i never upgrade my comp ill like amazon or newgg would best. may buy around next month.

If you're prepared to buy a new MB and/or CPU it makes little sense to even look for a 775 compatible if you could find it. Start looking at Sandy bridge or Ivy Bridge components. I think you'll find plenty in your budget range.

I would not waste my time going to a core 2 quad. I would be thinking of a new Motherboard, RAM and a Core I5 or I7 CPU. and new PSU may be in order as well.
