  1. you have windows right?

you dont have a graphics card so your system wont work. the fx chips dont have intregrated

here is a recommendation for high graphical gameplay

i would get this power supply though. it is easy to work with and good.

to get the budget back in place, get a intel pentium g630 and a p8h61-le/csm motherboard instead of fx.

also to lower the budget, get a mushkin chronos mx 120gb ssd or a seagate barracuda 500gb hard drive
  2. if he doesnt play games. you can drop the graphics card and instead upgrade to a i3 2120
  3. Yes I have windows
I didnt even realize I had no video(this is why Im here checking)lol
I also realized I didnt give him a dvd drive
The reason I went with samsung drive is because I have one and from all other people I know that have a ssd I feal that samsung just performs better

So with all this Heres what I changed

GIGABYTE GA-A75M-D2H FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 6550D

    ASUS 24X DVD Burner

new price is $477.68 with $15 giftcard from newegg
  4. oh I didnt change the psu becaus its a combo deal with case total is $64.98 for both

    Hi Momazboy,

Below are the suggested changes I would make to the build:

    Intel Core i3-2120 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I32120 -$124.99

    ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - $119.99 (Customer's Choice Award Mar-Apr 2012)

    SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply - $59.99

    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL - $46.99

SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128B/WW 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - $129.99

Stick with the SSD you picked out. The Samsung 830 is one of the best on the market.

With the i3-2120 your friend will be able to do everything he wants to do without a seperate graphics card. This is due to the fact that this processor has built in graphics.

Oh and with a ~$40 case you will be sitting at ~$520 total for a good amount more quality/performance than what you had previously picked out.

    Good luck,
