Premiere Pro - nVidia vs Radeon?

Asus GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 is it good enough for rendering with CS4 Premiere pro with my intel quad 9550? I am having problems with rendering avchd from my canon f hm 306 with full hd video.

I don't want to spen more than £70 but I might go to £90

The lowest end card that Premier Pro supports is a 9800GT. It does not support the 550Ti. CS5's lowest GPU is the GTX 480.
