Hello

I have some PC parts, Cabinet, hdd, psu, gpu and dvd drive.

Im looking at building a pc and I need a mainboard, ram and cpu.

My current pc is a Acer 5930g (and a old Dell dimension 5000).

The computer will be used for Starcraft 2 and Civilization 5, web development and programming (java + others).

So do you think the Intel celeron g550 will be enough? For example compared to the i3 (that is almost 3 times as expensive).

My current CPU scores around 1800 in CPU mark, the g550 2348 points (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+G540+%40+2.50GHz)
So its not a huge upgrade.

Are there any other alternatives? For example will the pentium G640 be a better choice?

I got a gt8600 for free from a friend. This is a old and not powerfull card. How do you think it will run SC2?
