windows experience really isn't accurate nor useful in the real world
try using pass mark or other benchmarking software if you really want to see the benefits of your new processor
WEI is just pretty much something to show off to your friends with

most of use know that wei isnt accurate, but most of us still some would like it to be higher when u upgrade a cpu lol. So my guess is that the clock speed wasnt at its highest when it ran the test, or something. But as paul said its not useful a benchmark will prove if its actually running slow, could just be a glitch in wei.

Who cares Windows Index Experience is a joke and can't be used as a way to really measure how good your computer is. If you really want to know how good your computer is use a good benchmarking program and test it.

haha I have two SSDs in raid 0 (i know not necessary, but who cares) and my wei score was only 7.1, you'd think you'd get a full 7.9... lol

Wait what? I got 7.8 for my 2600k @ 4.3 and 7.9 for the rest with mid level parts.

Just consider it a minor hiccup that is not going to make any difference in your life.

If you really want to test it. Download wPrime. Run 32M and upload your results to the site. You can compare your times there.

8.1, I thought WIE maxes out at 7.9 or something.

Sigh, Windows 8.... :sarcastic:

Edit: Either that or you edited it (which I know is possible. You can edit it to say whatever you want, if you know how).

Garbage, you were better off editing it to "9999" on Windows 7 than installing Win 8 and getting that true score.
