Hi all,

I'm new into Crossfiring, been checking some YouTube videos. I'm getting ready to try this Crossfire thing with an old graphics card that I have, a Radeon HD 4770 512MB. But I want to know, what other graphics card can I crossfire with my current one and if my motherboard supports it. From what I know, the motherboard's box says "SLi Ready". Someone here on this forum advised me to get another HD 4770 that in CrossFire I should hit HD 6950-like territory, Radeon 6950.

Here are my specs of my current graphics card:

R4770 Cyclone

My mobo specs:

M4N98TD EVO

Additional specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor, Mobo: ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard, 8GB of RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH. MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

I really appreciate you all helping and taking your time in replying back to me.

Solution
The nForce SLi chipsets do NOT support crossfire. You should just stop there.

You're going to need to change your motherboard if you want to support Crossfire.
