hey, so i know this might be a plain for alot of people but im looking to build a gaming pc for around $1500 and i have no idea where to start. and ontop of that im in australia. so please and thankyou? :)

Approximate Purchase Date: august-September

Budget Range: $1500-$1800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: HD online/offline gaming, downloading, watching movies, music.

Parts Not Required: key-bored, headphones, speakers, mouse.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: just anywhere cheap which can ship to NSW Australia. i know of one site (iibuy.com.au)

Country: Australia.

Parts Preferences: just whatever you guys think will get the best quality and highest speeds.

Overclocking: Maybe in the future.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in the future.

Monitor Resolution: highest cheapest quality.

Additional Comments: i would like something which would keep up with any and all games for at least a year without upgrading.

PLEASE AND THANKYOU <3 :)

It is kinda hard to offer you build advice since your purchase date is rather far off in the future.

PC components depreciate in value (percentage wise) faster than automobiles.

You may want to look at Tom's Hardware June 2012 system builder marathon for a $2000 PC. By the time September rolls around you maybe able to buy it give or take a component for $1500.

you wouldent happen to know any good sites that ship to aus? becuase the site im using ether dose not have some of the parts, or is 30-40 dollars over the stated price :/

AUD prices are higher than USD prices because AUD are worth somewhat less. You won't be able to avoid that.
I advise that you come back in August or September. New parts may have come out by that time, and prices will certainly have changed.

Off the top of my head....no. However you may want to check out the 'Asus Republic of Gamers Australia' Youtube Channel. I think there is also a PC Enthusiast website called 'maxshine' which is based out of Australia. You may find some content on those sites which could recommend a good e-tailer.

I like a lot of the videos they post. There are some serious gamers in Australia.
