Hi there. Parts straight off the MSY downloadable pdf price list:

CPU - The Intel Core i5 3570K is a great choice for gaming build. Not really any conceivable benefit of hyperthreaded cores at this stage for gaming. Video editing maybe, depending on the applications you use:
Intel Core i5 3570K - $241

CPU Cooler - For overclocking your CPU, particularly with IB processor temps spiking up quickly as you work up the frequency beyond 4.0GHz, an aftermarket CPU cooler is a great investment to help keep temps under control.
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO - $39

Case - Lots of good choices from MSY these days... The CM 690 2 is a good case (I have one infact :)) I like the Fractal Arc Midi
CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer $95
Fractal ARC Mid - $119...

CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer $95
Fractal ARC Mid - $119
Corsair Carbide 400R - $117

Mobo - Depends on what features your looking for. This one is a great all round gaming board. Certainly encourage you to jump on their website and check that feature list to make sure it's got everything your looking for.
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard - $154

GPU - Don't have to look very far for praise of this GPU. More or less max out every game on ultra uber details at 1080p with 60+fps
Gigabyte GTX 670 2GB - $515

RAM - I like G.Skill or Corsair RAM. MSY stock G.skill, and this model is the most recent model. Not really much benefit in getting 2133mHz RAM
1600 Gskill Ares 8GB Kit $58

PSU - SLI future proof. It's also semi modular and well recommended on this site
Antec TP 750 - $135

HDD - Still recommend getting ones of these. Don't want to clutter up tht SSD with stuff that doesn't ned to be there, Music, Movies etc
Seagate Barracuda 1TB - $92

SSD - This is a low point for MSY at the moment. They don't stock a great deal of SSDs. I also like the Intel 520. It's just a little expesive ATM. You might be able to find a Crucial M4 or Samsung 830 elsewhere. But the Sandisk is probably good.
SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive 120GB $129.00

Optical - Whatever
Samsung - $19

$1511

Thanks for the advice!

I considered the i5, but im doing video - editing so the Hyperthreading helps!

Im gonna keep the Extreme6 for upgradability!

Your right, 2133mhz is unnecessary, but at $71, its only a small portion of $ away from 1600mhz!

What do you think of the Coolermaster 690II so far?

I have a 1.5tb already!

Ill take the PSU into account though!

The CM 690 II is a good solid case, easy to build in, nice tool-less design drive bays etc, good cooling, won't disappoint. HOWEVER... in basicaly the same price range (for $10 more) a case which I have built in a few times now and prefer is the Corsair 400R.

http://www.corsair.com/en/pc-cases/carbide-series-pc-case/carbide-series-400r-mid-tower-case.html

Realistically they are pretty similar, but on the 400R you get better cable management and 2 x 120mm fans on the front instead of 1x140mm.

Thanks very much!
