New cpu and stuck on bios screen !!

Okay well my old post is when i upgraded from an e5300 to q6600


This is my mobo

last time when i put the q6600 in it didn't boot at all.

i have tried again and it boots but its stuck on bios?

its not overheating as i cannot feel any heat but graphics card got hotter than usual.

any solutions?

i just put my e5300 back in and it is normal again, perhaps its the q6600? but i cannot find the problem.

What do you mean it's stuck on bios?
Is there some kind of error message shown or beeping audible?

Reset the BIOS to defaults.
According to gigabyte site q6600 is supported from bios F1, so an update shouldn't be required, but you can flash it with newest version just in case.

yeah i have updated it :/ its stuck on the bios start up screen, i cannot access bios and there are no messages or beeping.

I think the q6600 may be damaged. Please paste a photo of that screen your pc is stuck on.

just the start bio's screen where it says the motherboard name and f9 for boot menu, f10 for bios settings f11 for flash etcetc

Does is recognize the processor by displaying something like Main processor: 2.4GHz (266 x 9.0) CPUID xxxx ID xxx?

i dont know.. i cant even access windows

It should be visible on POST screen you said it's stuck on.

its not there. it shows the picture of the motherboard display photo and the options in white on the bottom

Disable boot logo in BIOS and check again. You should get something like that:

Check if it recognizes the CPU, if not, it means it's damaged.

As I wrote, you can disable it in bios. Then you will have black screen with more info.
BIOS -> Advanced Features -> Full Screen Logo Show -> Disabled.

Or if your PC is responsive after it hangs, you may as well use TAB button to switch to the POST screen.

i cant get into bios. its stuck on the logo show. i wish i could use TAB but its just completely frozen

Use your E5300 to change BIOS settings.
