GTX 295 or Radeon 5770?

My father wants to give me his GTX 295 i currently have a MSI radeon 5770 Hawk.

I play Crysis 2, Skyrim, and MW3.

Would this be a good upgrade? if s by how much? (percentage wise)

Specs:
AMD Phenom x4 980 @ 3.7 GHZ
OCZ 700 watt PSU
MSI Radeon 5770 HAWK

I currently play Crysis 2 with DX11 if I had this in my rig would I still be able to use the DX11?

My 5770 has GDDR5 memory and DX11. GTX 295 has GDDR3 memory and DX10

I already run settings on Very high while playing Crysis 2.

I want to Max them out and i doubt the GTX 295 can accomplish that with good frame rates.

But I shall see the performance when I get it

The GTX 295 will smash the 5770 at leased double the performance.

But can it smash Crysis 2 maxed out?

It's sure to do better than your 5770, the issue with Crysis is that it's a tough game to run, even the GTX 680 has difficulty, albeit driving multiple monitors.

The GTX 680 runs it very well i hear plus people us the HD texture pack. The drivers are still young, once they mature im sure the performance would increase

the gtx 295 cant do dx11 in crysis 2 like the 5770 you will see 60fps consistently in crysis 2 on the gtx 295

Do you think I can run it on Ultra??

I am not to acknowledgable of the 295 but that sucker is OOOLD. Also 900mb of vram isnt gonna last too long, and lastly DX 11 is NOT used frequently still by most games made today. You will be able to, play Crysis 2 @ 1080p max if you OC I'm thinking. (Still lol, that's a oldie right there! Enjoy your 680, mines being shipped! )
