This is my first post, so I hope I'm putting it in the right place. Thanks in advance for reading!
My bro and sis-in-law both have Dell laptops. They called me the other day because hers has a problem, and for some reason, she thinks I can fix it. In brief, the little plastic post inside her laptop's power input port seems to have broken off. Here's a pic:
I'm hoping someone here can tell me what the fix for this is. Do I need to get a new input port and have it soldered to the motherboard, or can I just get another one of those little plastic posts and snap it in there?
