Nope, i7 3930k gives minimal improvement for a whooping additional in money.
If you'll use it for transcoding videos then go for it. It's your money though, but I'd prefer i7 3770k for video transcoding and sort of, and if you just needed a cpu for gaming just go with i5 3570k and have a decent video card of your own.
