Dead pixel on new monitor!

hey guys i am in need of some advice. i just got a new 23 inch acer lcd led monitor and it looks great except for a black pixel that is stuck on the screen. it is really starting to annoy me. does anyone have any advice? is there a way to fix it without sending it back? its not very big but very annoying and i cant stop noticing it. thanks

If you bought it from a store return it. Most online retailers have a "dead pixel" policy that prevents items from being returned due to them, Newegg comes to mind.

Actually, Newegg does not replace screens unless there are 8 or more dead pixels. You can return it, and pay the restocking fee and have your money refunded, or take it up with the manufacture who will most likely tell you tough luck.

Most manufacturers will only exchange / service LCD monitors with at least 3 dead or stuck pixels. You'll need to read Acer's warranty policy to find out.

If it is really annoying, then return the monitor to Newegg and eat the 15% restocking fee. Plus shipping charges.

adds 5% to the total cost.
