Which Graphics card for BF3 ?

Hello all,
I'm very new to PC gaming and I dont know anything about these technical stuffs. I went through performance charts of different graphics card and still not sure which graphic card will suffice my need. All I want is to play multiplayer at Low-Med settings @ 720p resolution and my budget is low.

My specs :
AMD phenom 2 x4 945 3GHZ
Powersafe SMPS Gold 550w
4GB ddr2 ram
Monitor resolution : 1280 x 720

I know my specs is not enough to play this game but i just want to play it at low- med settings... So please suggest me some cheap gaming cards.. My budget is 100-120 USD.

Don't go for GTX 550 Ti. It's bad performance for your cash. For just a bit more you could get a GTX 460, which is at least 20% faster.

HD 6770 and HD 5770 are same cards. When 6xxx series came out, AMD played 'smart' and rebranded their 5770 as 6770.

So either get HD 5770/6770, HD 6850 OR GTX 460.

An HD 6770 should do fine for you. But you will definitely get more performance out of an HD 6850, and you'll be able to play nearly all games on high settings.

Yea the 7770 is probably the best opportunity here.... It beats, the GTX 550 ti, the 5770, 6770, and even the GTX 560 and 460.

And can probably MAX out bf3 with good frames since your running BF3 on low resolution.

HD 7770 does not beat GTX 560, and ties with GTX 460.

Used Radeon 6870's are going for great prices on Ebay right now, if you can find a good used one with a transferable warranty for under $120, I think that would be your best bet, you may be able to run BF3 on high (on some of the smaller maps). The 6870 also scales very well in crossfire, so you could always get another one down the road for a cheap upgrade.

6850 is enough to play BF3 and with the rebate, its 120. Should give you quite a bit more than some other cards listed above.

I'm currently running BF3 at 1080p with settings on low with a 6770 and old core 2 duo. Would say anything above that should run med-high at 720.

I wish I was trolling but I'm not. The game has serious glare and contrast issues which become more obvious at higher detail levels. I can't play the game for very long because it gives me migraines

Thank you all for your suggestions... So i went to a local store and found many cards in my range... Ati 7750 1gb ddr5, 6770 ddr5, gts450 ddr3, 6670 ddr5, 6750 ddr3, 6750 ddr5... Please anyone can arrange this cards performance-wise like a>b ?

The 6770 is the most powerful of the bunch followed closely by the 7750.

The GTS450, 6670,6750 won't pull their weight.

Ideally you should go for the 7770 if you can find one. It will have about 25% on the 7750 and about 15-20% on the 6770

Very much . DDR 5 cards should have 2x more bandtwidth than same with DDR3 . DDR 3 are slower and usually used in low end/low mid range cards . That makes me wonder what is a point in making a good card but equipping it with slow memmory ? Bah doesn't matter .
Simply pured DDR 5 should be much faster .

No - but it should run Medium and High with no AA. There's basically no difference between Ultra and High.
