Locked out of ews need help getting back in

Hello, my isp provider just upgraded to fiber optics and gave me a free new modem/wifi. since i have had that i am un able to get my 6840 hp deskjet to work and to make matters worse i think that i disabled it when i was using the ews and now i cannot get into the ews to get it going i have tried reseting everything per hps intsrtuctions online but nothing has help. I have my new modem secured with wpa/wpa2. does anyone have any ideas on how i might be able to enable the ews? thanks

Connect your printer to the new modem with an ethernet cable and connect to the ews and reset the wireless network.

tried that and still could not connect i got the message that that web site timed out
