I'm building budget video editing/encoding pcs for my school and wanted to know which of the two motherboard/cpu combos would be best.

also, in the $100 price range, which processor platform is best for video editing- AMD or Intel?

I know its already solved, but if you use Adobe anything you will want to get a nVidia graphics card. With a small file tweaking (litterally took me 30 seconds) you get 1000x more performance out of rendering and transcoding through the mercury playback system. I use a GTX 460 and it does a great job at speeding it along. A card with more CUDA cores would be even better (ie GTX 480/680).
