Video/gaming card help

Hello,
I build a PC about 10 years ago and it is still doing well even compared to whats out now, there is just 1 problem. I upgraded to Windows 7 and that "windows experience" thing says my gaming card sucks. I have 1 gforce 7950 GT , all the other areas are like 5.7 and 5.9 ( I think isnt that bad for a 10 year old pc) but the graphic? 2.0 WTH. I want to play Rift and Secret world but dont really have the $ for a new pc. Any suggestions?

10 Years in the technology world is ancient history and as you say it's doing well for being so old , the thing is with an upgrade to the video card you will also be dealing with the other components inside the Pc whether you like it or not. The psu , ram and even the motherboard can come into play. Is your 7950 GT a Pci-e card or an AGP card? That also goes to your motherboard is it AGP or Pci-e ? What is your power supply , ram amount and what is your cpu?

Maybe you can't build a new high powered gaming Pc but this prebuilt would certianly bring you into this century for gaming.

I agree, there's absolutely no way to simply add a gaming graphics card to a computer that old.

Even if you had PCIe support your CPU would be a huge bottleneck.

Your only choice is to get a new system.

*FYI, you claim your computer is ten years old, but the 7950 GT came out in 2006 less than six years ago and apparently its the weak link in your system?

I'd be interested to know your specs:
1) motherboard
2) CPU
3) Windows version (XP 32-bit?)
4) RAM (frequency and amount, i.e. 800MHz, 1GB)
5) Power Supply

The program CPU-Z is very useful for the CPU/Motherboard/RAM details:

I upgraded the video card after the 1st one crashed and burned.

Oh and Just to clear things up I built it 10 years ago, in that 10 years I upgraded as I could. My original idea was to make a good core PC and make upgrades as necessary. That is why I am asking for all of your assistance, I have come to a road block that I cant seam to upgrade pass :)  So I guess ill say sorry for misleading you into thinking I build it and haven't done anything after that. I am not that good of a PC builder :)
