Why cant I run BF3 on Ultra???

This is my build and I still get lag on BF3 even on Medium. Why isnt this enough to run smoothly and what do I need to be able to run it on at least high, if not Ultra settings?

i7-2600k @ 3.4
AMD HD 6950 2G
16G DDR3 1600
Corsair HX650

Most lag/low FPS in BF3 comes in w/ maxing AA.

In game type: `render.drawfps 1
Get msi afterburner of other program that can track temp/gpu use

Go to an large open map in multiplayer. Set settings a Med w/o AA and then w/ AA note fps...do this for all settings all the way up to ultra.

What monitor rez do you have?

Mobo is Asus p8z68-V/Gen3 and I have a 1920x1080 monitor. Also everytime I start BF3 I get an alert saying that my driver is out of date (11.5) but I have tried to download the 12.4 version multiple times and it always tells me that I only have 11.5. Very frustrating.
