Hi. By the end of 2012, I'll have a fully upgraded PC. Right now, I need to decide which GPU I should get. In about two weeks, I'm going to get a phenom II x4 955. I've done some research and alot of people said the HD 6870 can max Bf3 with no problem. I'm on a budget so I'm not sure that I can get a high end card. Any advice would be helpful.

For not to much more I'd get the 965BE if you can.

What is your power supply? What is your resolution?

Well, 955(no-be) is the max that my motherboard can go. Since 965BE is a 125watt TDP, it will not support my AM2 motherboard. I do not want to upgrade my motherboard because I can still use the 6GB of DDR2 RAM. I'm also going to upgrade my power supply to a Cosair cx600. My resolution is a 1600x900(native).

Ahh still on AM2 I see, a 6870 would fit that system well. There are really no other cards around its price point. (150 USD)

Will AMD lower their price when most of the gtx 600 cards comes out? I might go with nvidia if there are any cards that are cheaper with similiar performance.....

Honestly if you go down in price you're going to down in performance from the 6870, no one knows when Nvidias mid-range cards come out but they will probably target the 250 dollar range anyway and not even affect the 6870.

Okay, then I guess I'll aim for the HD6870!

If you want to spend about 165~ you can get a GTX 560, it's about ten percent more powerful. Those are really your only options near that price point at all.
