Fan installation behind hdd cage

Simple question,
The placement of the hdd cage makes it pretty hard to get at the front intake fan

I have a raidmax case that holds 2 front intake fans, I want to install the lower fan but the hdd cage is not easily (or possibly at all) removed. Before I start digging in there tonight, is there an easy way to do this?

Usually you can pop the (plastic) front of the case to access front fans.
